WEDB Financial Services stems from Woman Excel, a powerful women’s organization whose main objective is to link women in the marketplace to create a platform from which women launch into greater heights.

It was under the same objective that Woman Excel decided to set-up a Microfinance Institution with a primary intention of uplifting lives of women in Zimbabwe through access to credit for various developmental initiatives.

The institution has acquired a microfinance lending License and conducts business in Zimbabwe through a network of branches to reach women from various backgrounds.

WEDB Financial Services extends micro loans to both formally and informally employed low-income earners.

Our target market includes civil servants, employees from selected private companies, institutions and churches as well as selected schemes and SMEs.

WEDB Financial Services operates from eight branches in Zimbabwe.

Longer term plans are to expand further to smaller towns and growth-points around the country through agencies.
